We are pleased to offer the atmospheric photographs of John Siefert, a recent graduate of The Ohio State University.  John specializes in atmospheric black-and-white images and produces both nature shots and urban views.  Of particular interest to the artist are industrial views, including shots that document abandoned factories in Ohio and West Virginia.  To see our selection of John's images, click here.

4.1.08  New works by Mark Gingerich added

We are pleased to announce the addition of almost a dozen new works to inventory by Mark Gingerich, one of the Midwest's top painters.  Both figurative works and landscapes are among these pieces, including some delightful beach scenes.  To see Mark's works, click here.

3.17.08  IMPORTANT DATE CHANGES MADE TO UPCOMING SCHEDULED EXHIBITIONS

Due to a delay in receiving several key paintings from Europe, we are pushing our spring/summer schedule forward by approximately one month.  The Scandinavian Post-impressionism and Modernism exhibit will open on May 2 and our annual one-man show for Mark Gingerich will open on June 12.  For the complete schedule, click here.

Artist and gallery owner Bryan Roberts is currently exhibiting with sculptor Todd Malenke at Muskingum College's Palmer Gallery.  The exhibit, "Spirit and Inspiration" will run through March 24.  Muskingum College, John Glenn's alma mater, is located in New Concord, Ohio just east of Zanesville.   Thirteen paintings by Roberts are on display, including a number of new pieces.

12.18.07  GINGERICH, ROBERTS DONATE PAINTINGS

Gallery artists Mark Gingerich and Bryan Roberts have each donated a painting to the February Worthington Arts Center fundraiser auction.  Mark's work is an atmospheric 10" x 8" picture of Schiller Park in Columbus and Bryan's work is a crisp 11" x 14" snow scene.  More details on the exact time and date of the fundraiser will be forthcoming.

11.26.07  GALLERY WELCOMES YAN SUN.

In an exciting development for us, internationally known artist Yan Sun is now showing works at the gallery.  Currently an associate professor of art at Muskingum College, Mr. Sun holds degrees from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in China and Texas A & M University.  Although he has produced a broad variety of works, Yan is perhaps best known for his ballerina paintings and harbor scenes created with distinctive heavy impasto.  To see some of Yan's work, click here.

11.15.07  CAPITAL UNIVERSITY ACQUIRES GALLERY WORK.

We are pleased to announce that Capital University has purchased 'Sunset on the Scioto", a work by gallery artist and owner Bryan Roberts, for their permanent collection of Ohio art.  Our sincerest thanks to Dr. Cassandra Tellier, the head of Capital's Schumacher Gallery, for her support and interest.

11.05.07  Exhibition opens this Friday, November 9th.

Opening this Friday, Nov. 9, is our annual Fall Show of New Acquisitions.  The show will feature particularly fine works that have been held back over the course of the year specifically for exhibit.  Works will range from early 19th century British school to mid- 20th century American modern works.  Please join us for the reception, which will run from 5:30 PM until 8 PM.

11.01.07  Mark Gingerich Figurative Works at the Gallery.

Gallery artist Mark Gingerich has recently provided the gallery with a group of spectacular figurative works that draw heavily upon the early 20th century Boston School.  These are some of the finest works that Mark has produced and deserve a special look.  Mark has been with the gallery for almost 8 years and is arguably the best impressionist painter in Ohio.  To view these works, click here.

10.25.07  Web Site Gets Overhaul: In our ongoing efforts to keep the site fresh, we have changed the site background theme and reformatted a number of the pages.  Art is now divided into five main areas:  Works by Mark Gingerich, Antique (pre-1950) Art, Modern Art, Works by Selected Present-day Painters, and Prints and Engravings.  The Gallery News/Updates page is now here... it will feature all the latest gallery news but no longer carry the update details (i.e., how many new works of this or that were added, etc.)
